Dr. Trame is an Assistant Professor at the Center for Pharmacometrics and Systems Pharmacology at the Univeristy of Florida, Orlando. She in addition holds an Adjunct Associate Investigator appointment at the Translational Research Institute for Metabolism and Diabetes at Florida Hospital, Orlando (http://www.tri-md.org/) where she studies the complex mechanism regulating macronutrient metabolism, body composition and energy expenditure using mathematical modeling.Besides the human metabolism studies, Dr. Trame’s research focuses in particular on drug safety leveraging post-marketing surveillance data using a systems approach to understand the mechanistic nature of drug-adverse drug reaction pairs on the target and molecular level. Additional research areas concentrate on i) the application of quantitative analysis tools (pharmacometrics, PBPK and quantitative systems pharmacology) to address clinically relevant research questions in the area of diabetes, obesity, energy metabolism related to different diseases, antithrombotic therapy, neurodegenerative diseases, rare diseases, drug inducednephrotoxicity, pediatrics, cardiovascular, cystic fi brosis, and translational research and ii) studying metabolomics to identify early and novel biomarkers to help understand and predict disease progression as well as drug-induced toxicities. She received her B.S. in Pharmaceutical Sciences from the Westfälische-Wilhelms Universität in Münster, Germany in 2006 and her license to practice as a pharmacist in Germany in 2007. In addition, she earned her Pharm.D. degree from the University of Florida in 2010 and her Ph.D. in Clinical Pharmacology and Pharmacometrics from the Westfälische-Wilhelms Univer sität in Münster, Germany in 2011. During her Ph.D., she modeled data regarding Therapeutic Drug Monitoring of drugs used in pediatric oncology, focusing on Busulfan, Dimethylacetamide, and Enoxaparin for treatment individualization.
